Chuggington

Don't get a good enough reception on Channel Five to enjoy Thomas?  
Don't worry - Cbeebies to the rescue with their second cheap rip-off,
Chuggington.  Clearly getting fed up with paying Lineker's 'voice talent'
fees on Underground Ernie, the BBC decided that there had to be a gap in
the market for another show about talking trains.  No?  You're right.

From the Cbeebies website:

"Deep in the Heart of Children's imagination lies the land of Sodor, oops
sorry for the typo, Chuggington, where trains have come to life..."

And so, without the slightest trace of shame on their faces, the BBC launch
into tales of the 'Chuggers'.  OK, so I have the sense of humour of a
schoolboy and 'Chuggers' makes me snigger.

"As they complete their daily tasks ... they learn lessons of timeless (stifles
a yawn) value to every childhood"  With a script cupboard so full of ideas
for shows it almost rivals
Super Why, we Chugg off for a series of
rip-roaring adventures.

The 'action' centres around Wilson, Koko and Brewster - three "train"ee
(get it?) chuggers. (you couldn't make this stuff up) who learn valuable life
lessons from "responsibility and bravery to..............

Sorry nodded off there.

Anyway - time to dust down the DIY manual.  It really isn't that hard to
install a bigger TV aerial on your roof.  Failing that, sign off a chunk of
your salary to Mr Murdoch - it's worth it just to avoid Chuggington.
