The Fimbles

The Fimbles Marketing Incorporated rolls into town with Fimbo, Florrie and
Baby Pom.  Okay, so shows like
Dora The Explorer from The States makes
The Fimbles marketing effort seem amateur, however the programme still
frequently feels like a vehicle to sell merchandising.

Anyway...

Fimbo, Florrie and Baby Pom live in Fimble Valley.  What they make up for
with charm, they quickly lose with low brain cell count.

Are you getting that Fimbly Feeling?  (Available at all good stores for just
£10.99).  The plot is straightforward.  Each episode sees one of the
Fimbles discover a merchandising opportunity, sorry, mystery object, and
hilarity ensues as The Fimbles figure out what it's for and how it works.

Ably assisting them are a cast of extras.  Bessie (my love), a Lancashire
bird and son Ribble pop up regularly to show The Fimbles what the objects
do, cutting to scenes from the real world in the process.  (Mercifully short
unlike Teletubbies - just watch that child's attention evaporate!).

Then there is Roly Mo, popping along with an instructive story.  (NOTE:  If
your a student trying to be wacky down the union and aren't watching the
programme for the educational benefit of a child, switch immediately to the
vastly superior
Roly Mo Show, a spin-off from The Fimbles.)

Finally, there is Rockit, a blue frog and one of the most annoying television
creations of all time.  Smelly Jelly!  Yes, you're right there Rockit.
